The Job

As the new Quality Supervisor, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of inspection for the department whilst being directly responsible for the work flow of a small team of quality engineers and inspectors. What's your typical day going to look like? Well, you'll be ensuring the wheel keeps turning with everything Quality, including attending morning meetings, update on work in progress and any potential on concerns, review upcoming designs with other depts, raise any concerns on current prototypes in build. In terms of general department responsibilities, managing workload, ensuring parts are processed as per the schedule and ensure that all department needs are supported and Co-ordinate and support the production of inspection documentation such as FAIR and PPAP when necessary.

The company

They work with some World famous brands, the majority of which are in the Motorsport industry however, they also supply products into the Aerospace, MOD and Marine industries so as you can imagine quality is of the upmost importance. They have a specially kitted out workshop that you would be proud to show customers which is located conveniently just on the outskirts of Milton Keynes centre. This position will be working closely with the Quality manager and the senior management team who are a very hard working and dedicated group, so someone who shares that approach will no doubt thrive in this company.

Experience

Relevant experience for this role would include previous experience as a quality engineer with a recognised qualification. This is a supervisor role but you don’t necessarily have to have previous supervisory or management experience as they are happy to support someone with a can do mentality who is willing to take a step up. Motorsport industry knowledge is a distinct advantage, not only as it will enable you to understand the pace of the work but if it is your interest then it will be a cool place for you to work!
