Location: Milton Keynes, occasional working from home

The Quality Assurance Manager responsibilities:
This role encompasses both managing the Company’s quality system and ISO accreditations as well as ensuring that we meet our customer satisfaction KPI’s with product quality. The QA team (8) consist of compliance, health & safety & environmental officers, QA engineers and technicians.
* Responsible for the Company’s Quality system, ISO accreditation, ISO9001, ISO14001, and managing the transition to ISO45001:2018
* Oversee goods inspection for incoming materials & goods to ensure they meet the organisations requirements
* To manage site equipment validation and calibration annual planner
* To develop and support the principles of 6 Sigma & Lean enterprise across the company
* Working with the supply chain and manufacturing to ensure that products follow the relevant standards and specifications
* Raise awareness of Quality throughout the company, develop performance indicators and provide reports to the senior management team
* Working with the purchasing team to maintain & develop the vendor rating system
* Identifying relevant quality related training needs and delivering training across the Company
* Manage, plan and report on audits both internal and external, supporting departments with actions plans for achieving compliance
* Writing and presenting technical and management system reports
* Manage activities of the QA team, develop the team’s skills and knowledge to support the company now and in the future
* Active team member in the Company’s crisis management team, modern slavery compliance group, first aid and fire warden employee forums.
* Responsible for the management of the Company’s Health and Safety and Environmental officers, supporting the development and delivery of policies and procedures to support the safety of our employees and the environment
The Ideal Quality Manager:
* A Quality Assurance professional, with manufacturing experience ideally a member of CQI
* Engineering qualification, degree level or equivalent
* Able to demonstrate and practice a hands-on approach to quality management
* Extensive knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018
* Experience of working with APQP and PPAP (FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, GR&R)
* Vast knowledge of monitoring and measuring tools and CMM’s, including the service and calibration of these tools
* Extensive knowledge and experience in problem solving techniques
* Excellent written and IT skills, with the ability to accurately & clearly document specifications / manuals
* Experience of mentoring and developing employees/teams
* Good attention to detail, organised and able to prioritise
* Has a customer orientated approach with decisive decision-making skills
* Team player with excellent communication skills
* Hold a current driving licence and passport (very occasional UK and international travel required)
