QA Team Leader
Location: Hybrid working with head office based in High Wycombe
Term: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

If you've answered yes to all the above, we'd love to hear from you! We are looking for the right person to lead and manage our Focusrite QA Team, as they work to ensure that our next generations of audio interfaces and recording equipment meet our customers' quality expectations.
Duties
Reporting to the QA Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of all QA activities required to support the Focusrite and Focusrite Pro Product Roadmaps.
You will be managing a team of QA Engineers, providing technical guidance and day-to-day support, as well as facilitating their ongoing career development.
You will also be engaging with other key stakeholders; Product and Project Managers, Hardware, Software and Firmware Developers, and the wider Engineering Leadership Team.
Key activities include:
* Leading, managing, and coaching the Focusrite QA Team
* Providing technical guidance, and review/approval of test approaches
* Together with the QA Manager, agreeing project staffing and budgeting, including long-range planning and hiring
* Leading ongoing process improvement initiatives across the team
An ideal candidate is likely to be:
* From a testing or quality assurance background, with experience of working with hardware, software, or embedded firmware
* A clear communicator, with a proven track record of technical leadership
* Hands-on, with the technical credibility to guide and advise others
* ISTQB certified (Foundation Level or higher), or equivalent
* Used to working in Waterfall and/or Agile development environments
* Self-motivated, with a track record of improving test processes and coverage
* Familiar with using automated testing to improve efficiency
* Flexible, and able to effectively prioritise and schedule across multiple projects
* Methodical and rigorous, with a logical approach to problem solving
* Passionate and knowledgeable about music, audio technology, and recording
