Job Description:

The Project Quality Manager will fulfill a critical role, empowered to support the management in all matters related to Quality.  The Project Quality Manager will develop, maintain, and verify implementation of the project quality assurance programme/plan for the project.

Maintains client liaison and communication for project quality assurance activities.

Advises management of project quality problems and progress.

The Project Quality Manager will ensure that the necessary Quality Management System processes are established and implemented in their entity in accordance with Company Standards (GPS), the contractual requirements and standards certifications (ISO).

Typical background and experience required:

Must have:

– Membership of the CQI or equivalent

– IRCA Registered Lead Auditor or equivalent

– Significant experience of at least 10 years in industrial projects or engineering.

Desired requirements:

Technical knowledge in the application of engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, inspection, testing, certification or operation practices, sufficient to comprehend specified requirements is desired.

Engineering degree from an accredited university is desired. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.

Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to piping installation and testing, welding and equipment installation and testing is highly desired (ACI, ASTM, API, ANSI/ASME, AWS, ASNTC-1A, NACE, IEEE, etc).

Experience in the use of personal computers and Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) is required.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with others is required.

Candidates must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications and review and comment on documents generated.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 criteria is required.
