Are you passionate about engineering and its application to electronic music making?
Do you have a strong technical background in product development, the ability to collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and enjoy helping a team to deliver products efficiently through technical leadership?
If the answer to these questions is yes, then we'd love to hear from you! We're looking for someone who can engage at a technical level with engineering teams and work closely with product and project managers to efficiently develop and release our next generation of audio interfaces, synthesisers, grooveboxes and MIDI controllers.
What you'll be doing:
With particular focus on leadership, communication and decision making, you'll be helping your team be the very best it can be. You'll support them in delivering their product roadmap, from technology choices and development prioritisation, through the NPI development stages, to mass production and successful product launch.
For each product, you'll help ensure that development plans between the various engineers have been fully reviewed and aligned, and that the subsequent project plan represents the best approach to delivering it. You'll work with Project Management, Product Management, Product Design and Engineering, to develop products with the right balance of cost, quality, and features, to achieve a great user experience.
Where concurrent project plans exist for the programme, you'll help the project managers and team members to ensure there is efficient sequencing of their deliverables for the best overall delivery of the roadmap.
When technical decision or problem solving is needed, you'll help the team work together to deliver it, ensuring the right people are involved, external support is convened if needed, and that communication and status updates are clear and timely.
Working together with engineers and technical SMEs, you'll identify opportunities for development efficiency and re-use of technology between projects. You'll also work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leadership Team and Programme team, providing input to technical research and roadmap planning, so that longer term ROI prioritisation and execution is as efficient as possible.
You'll report to the Engineering Director and be a part of the Engineering Leadership Team.
