Product Manager

Salary £40k – £60k plus car bonus and benefits

The Company

A fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious Product Manager to join a global manufacturer of construction plant control systems and equipment. My client operates mainly in construction and recycling sectors, with a reputation for innovation and service.

The Role

· The role of Product Manager has full responsibility for developing and setting the product group strategy and delivering the business performance to meet customer needs and company targets.

· Operating as the Business Manager with full P&L responsibility for the product group.

· Working as part of a focussed professional leadership team, to deliver exceptional performance and results in a lean environment.

· Leading and executing the strategic direction for the product group, including Product Strategy, Sales & Marketing Strategy, Channel Strategy, Product Support Strategy, and Engineering and Technology Strategy.

· Supporting the development of the Procurement and Production strategy, delivering plans that provide for competitive global sourcing and supply.

· Managing the day-to-day performance and efficient running of the product group.

The Candidate

The successful Product Manager will be able to demonstrate the following:

· Experience or knowledge of working in a fast changing and developing market environment.

· Knowledge of construction, waste, plant sectors.

· Ideally experience of electronics and/or radio-based systems.

· A background in safety, legislation driven or regulated environments.

· Innovative, dynamic, forward thinking. Prepared to take on an exciting challenge.

· Strong team building and directing skills.

· Good at relationship management and a strong communicator.

· Clearly demonstrated skills and capabilities in managing and developing product programmes, on a technical and commercial basis.

· Programme management experience especially related to New Product Development.

· Strong customer and market focus.

· Team leadership skills in a Multi-disciplinary environment.

· Demonstrable knowledge, experience or skills in a technical environment (preferably from a related industry).
