My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Hydrology, Drainage, Environmental Management and Air Quality, is searching for a Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join a bespoke team in Milton Keynes.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Hydrology or Environmental Management and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water and Foul Water Drainage Strategy and SuDS Designs using Microdrainage.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing River Restoration and Hydraulic Modelling using Tuflow or Flood Modeller.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to complete varied Drainage, River Restoration, Green Infrastructure and Sustainable Projects spanning the Residential, Commercial and Industrial Sectors for Private Sector Clients.

As a Principal Consultant, you will be supported to complete the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies.

-Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design for sustainable builds using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.

-Sustainable Design ensuring Biodiversity.

-Drainage Area Planning.

-Hydraulic Modelling using Tuflow and Flood Modeller.

-Project Management and Client liaison to develop new opportunities.
