I am delighted to be recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer for my client in the Milton Keynes area.

The key focus of this role is to undertake Engineering required to integrate technology enhancements onto existing rolling stock under turnkey projects. You will be a focal point for technical expertise within the business.

Job Description of an Principal Electrical Engineer

To deliver solutions to a range of engineering problems relating to passenger and freight rolling stock

Produce non drawing technical documentation along side Projects and support the design department in the production of engineering drawings

Identify and specify components and provide technical support to other teams within he business

Work closely with customers and clients and you may be expected to attend a client site

Ensure Projects are delivered to the agreed time scales without compromising on quality

Ensure compliance with UK Railway group standards.

Skills & experience of an Principal Electrical Engineer

You must be a Chartered Engineer and Degree Qualified

You must have previous experience of working within a high level Electrical Engineering role previously

We will consider Rail, Automotive, R&D backgrounds

Experience of LV and HV architecture

A detailed understanding of the rail industry would be beneficial

It would be great if you had significant industry experience within a Rail Engineering and Design Environment
