Operations Manager

Our client is a highly reputable sub contract manufacturing company that has been in the industry for 20 years. They offer a range of services from CNC Machining, powder coating and sheet metal. They have built a very strong relationship with their customers over the years ensuring, high quality to help achieve mutual goals.
As the Operations Manager, you’ll be reporting to the Directors, you will responsible for the day to day running of the business need to demonstrate the implementation of successful lean manufacturing techniques with previous employers as well as introducing tangible improvements across production.
Main Duties:
* Planning production ensuring that deadlines are met and the resources are sufficiently used to achieve/improve them.
* Ensure all requirements relating to safety, health, environment and quality are being fully implemented and adhered to.
* The primary aim of this role will be to provide leadership and management of the company on a daily basis.
* Implement methods of lean manufacturing, and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
* Managing & motivating the staff members to ensure they are effectively and efficiently driven to meet production output targets and goals.
* Streamline production processes, ensuring quality of the product at all times.
* Propose innovative ideas/capital resources to enhance and improve production output.
Key Requirements
* Essential- You need to have a in depth understanding of engineering and sheet metal fabrication
* Essential- Have a proven background and experience of leadership Manufacturing/ engineering environment.
* You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership attributes and competency in people management.
* Ultimately you will have the drive and passion to make a difference in an already successful company.
* Two years plus experience of working in an Operations role withing manufacturing.
Hours & Benefits
* 40 hrs per week
* 08.00 – 17.00 Monday – Thursday, Friday 14.30 finish
* £44,000-£50,000
* 25 days holiday
