As a Multi-Skilled Operative, you’ll provide support across all the areas of plant operations. You’ll be based at our busy site in Bletchley, Milton Keynes where your daily tasks will consist of producing asphalt in accordance with technical quality standards, operating the weighbridge, operating loading shovels and even unloading trains.

When you join CEMEX you play an integral part in business production, keeping things ticking over smoothly to meet the needs of our business clients in the local area. If successful, you’ll join a team of six, managed by the Plant Manager. And if you want to progress, then the opportunities are there – our Plant Manager once started out as a Quarry Operative and worked his way up.

You’ll need to have hands-on experience with asphalt, aggregates, concrete, cement, or similar. Also, you must have your own transport, as our Bletchley site isn’t accessible by public transport.

The hours you’ll be working:

48 hours a week

Monday – Friday, 6am – 3pm

Saturday, 6am – 9:30am

However, you must be flexible depending upon the demands of the business!

What we're looking for…

* 2+ years’ experience in a similar role or environment – I.e. with asphalt, aggregates, concrete, cement, quarry, or mining

* Enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible individual, with great communication skills

* Mixing and weighbridge experience

* NVQ Wheeled Loader licence is desirable – though full training package would be given to the successful applicant

* Experience of working in an environment where Health and Safety is paramount
