Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Shift Pattern & Salary:

4 on 4 off, Days and Nights – £43,000 per annum dependent on level of skills – plus overtime available

The Profile:

As the Multi Skilled Elec Bias Maintenance Engineer, you will have sound electrical knowledge and be comfortable to fault find electrically. Coming from a food or FMCG background is an advantage, although other industries will be considered if you can prove you are competent. You will be a highly-motivated individual and be able to react quickly to any breakdowns that occur.

The Role:

As Maintenance Engineer you will be working within a team responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance of new and existing equipment. You will be working on food process machinery and will be dealing with fault finding on various PLC's.

* provide full engineering support to the site Production team(

* Carry out fault diagnosis and repair of a wide variety of electrical and mechanical systems. To include: – Pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, ovens, mixers, pressure systems, refrigeration units

* co-operate with the production/technical teams to resolve engineering issues in a controlled/logical and professional manner.

* proactively and methodically diagnose machine and system faults on production equipment and resolve issues in the most expedient and cost effective manner.

* Deliver as a member of the engineering team optimal levels of performance by utilising continuous improvement tools and techniques.

* A proven track record in engineering with strong electrical and/ or mechanical skills

* Must be capable of creative/logical problem solving/breakdown and root cause analysis and rectification.

* Ability to appropriately manage tasks and priorities whilst under pressure, whilst never compromising safety or product quality

* Ability to carry out specific tasks with minimum of supervision
