Fabricator Welder – Corrosion Team – Rolling Stock

£19 – £20.80ph – PAYE
£25 – £27 ph – UMBRELLA

+ £50 per shift Accommodation/ Travel – Reimbursement – (£250 per week)

Mornings/Afternoon Shifts

50-60 Hours available

Contract positions available within the Corrosion Department – Rolling Stock Overhaul

Duties include:

-Inspection, repair and replacement of structural sections of passenger rolling stock
-Solid Wire MIG work – Positional – Vertical Up and Overhead – MPI tested
-2mm upto 10mm gauge
-Basic fabrication required – cutting, stripping, grinding, removing corroded sections and
preparing material
-Ability to work from verbal instruction or engineering drawings

Qualifications

NVQ, City and Guilds or BTEC Engineering qualification – with valid certificate copy to be shown

All candidates will be required to successfully complete T fillet test pieces in Vertical Up and Overhead on 2mm and 5mm – (Mild Steel MIG solid wire)

Contractors are required to bring their own PPE, tools and grinder to site
