MID LEVEL PROJECT ENGINEER

EGR's innovative product development has made our automotive accessory products dominant in the domestic and overseas marketplace. This includes products such as bull bars, side steps, canopies, tonneaus, body kits, and rear spoilers manufactured via means of thermoforming, injection moulding, reaction injection moulding, blow mould and pressed metal technologies.
About The Mid Level Project Engineer Position:
This role is within our Product Development team and will have responsibility for project managing new product projects from conception to production, including testing, material and process analysis, product engineering, design and specification, tooling design, costing development and automotive OEM PPAP documentation.
On a daily basis you will be activity working closely with your fellow Engineering team, CAD designers, toolmakers, production, sale and QA. The role will also see you liaising directly with our customer & supply base around the globe.
To be eligible for this role, you must demonstrate the following:
* Automotive tier 1 supply or be working within Automotive OEM & After Market sector for design of plastic and metal components
* Knowledge in automotive accessory development processes.
* Exposure to managing new product projects from conception to production, including material and product engineering, design and specification, tooling design.
About you:
* Tertiary qualified Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer.
* With at least 3 years’ experience in new product development and Engineering Design in the manufacturing industry.
* Understanding the requirements of PPAP and APQP.
* Understanding Design for manufacture of plastic, thermoforming, injection moulding, RIM moulding and blow moulding would be a great advantage.
* Understanding metal product manufacturing techniques such as fabrication, pressing, casting and forging.
