Mechanical Technician (Workshop Role)

Milton Keynes

2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday, 40 Hours a Week

£27,000 – £28,000 + Overtime at Premium Rates (Approx 5 Hours a Week ATM) + Bonus + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + 6% Employer and 4% Employee Pension

Mechanical Technician required for international manufacturer and service provider of plant equipment offering fantastic training and support.  You’ll enjoy working for a very reputable company offering overtime, pay reviews and full training on a large range of forklifts.

The role will be suitable for multi-skilled or mechanical engineers/technicians.  The role will be most suited to those who have worked on similar equipment but HGV, automotive technicians or ex forces engineers for example will be suitable.  Experience on engines and basic electrical diagnostics are the skills required. 

You will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a wide range of forklift trucks.  You’ll be working in a team of 3 engineers.  This role is based at a particular client’s distribution centre with a designated workshop.

The role in brief:

*Carry out planned maintenance activities on materials handling machinery at one site in Milton Keynes.

*Reactive breakdown work.

*Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment.

*Order all spares/parts.

*Complete all paperwork and follow all procedures.

The Person required:

*Mechanical/multi skilled experience

*Breakdown experience on engines

*IT Literate
