Skilled Careers are working with a well respected Main Contractor with a strong presence across sectors nationally who require a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their Northern business unit. Based initially from a head office in Manchester or Birmingham depending on your preference you will work across projects in the region. 

The company in question have a strong portfolio of projects across the healthcare, commercial and residential Working closely with the on site project teams you will report to a regional MEP Lead and be the onsite Mechanical specialist with responsibility for managing external M&E subcontractors. 

The ideal Candidate:

• Mechanically biased, 5-7 years experience in a similar role • Sub-contractor management • Some commercial understanding would be preferred • Delivery of electrical services to high value projects throughout the city.

You will ideally be from a large Sub Contract or existing Main Contracting background, having run projects valued £5m+, be comfortable managing subcontractors and be a strong communicator across the board.

This client requires a pro-active, motivated person with a desire to learn and progress within an organisation that values staff development and places a high level of importance on ensuring that their staff are well looked after and receive necessary training.
