Mechanical Maintenance Technician

An established, global waste management company is looking to expand its team of Mechanical Maintenance Technicians at an energy from waste power plant situated outside of London. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be working alongside a team of Technicians providing mechanical maintenance on plant equipment through planned preventative maintenance, to ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations.

The responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician will include:

* Fault finding and maintenance on mechanical equipment across site through planned preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal plant downtime.

* Assisting in plant improvement projects, shutdowns, and outages including the supervision of contract staff.

* Identifying areas of improvement of mechanical systems maximising plant availability and efficiency.

* Providing specialist support to production department.

* Act as a competent person under safe systems work.

Requirements:

* You will ideally have a relevant HNC/NVQ, or time spent equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.

* Working experience on a range of equipment ranging-from or including:

* Hydraulics/Pneumatics

* Turbines

* Gear boxes

* Pressure systems

* Conveyor belts

* Pumps

* Relevant Health and Safety qualification.

* Have a competent background in Heavy Engineering.

* Ideally you would have worked within a power generation environment.

What this is offering:

* A salary of £41,000 – £42,000.

* Performance bonus based off plant performance.

* Working hours Monday – Friday (07:30 – 16:00).

* Overtime available at 1.5x.

* Callout bonus of £3,000 per annum, paid at 1.5x
