Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Milton Keynes

Contract Length: 3-month initial contract – temp to perm opportunity.

The Company

THE ROLE

You will focus on the mechanical aspects of components to be fitted to Rolling Stock vehicles such as HVAC units, fans, and compressors. With this being an active & physical role, you will be trusted with heavy lifting equipment on a regular basis. Any additional experience in brazing is desired, however not essential where training can be provided. A small amount of wiring, looming, and crimping is also involved where you will be working in a production setting and will be required to follow strict Health & Safety regulations.

the ideal candidate

You are an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a proven background in assembly and maintenance. You must be able to commit to a 3-month initial contract on a rolling basis, be a fast & efficient and be able to adapt to working in a high pressure and demanding environment. You will also need to hold an engineering qualification to a level 2 standard as a minimum.

As part of the interview process you will be required to attend a practical assessment.

WORKING HOURS

Monday – Thursday (4x day working week 36hrs per week) with Friday’s being an occasional requirement with every hour worked at £14 p/h.

This is a 3-month initial contract on a rolling basis with a view to permanent position being offered.
