Mechanical Engineer – Milton Keynes

Salary – £30 pphr

5 Days per Week

Contract 6-month contract

Grafton Recruitment are proud to be working with an expansive, industry-leading client to find a flexible and committed Mechanical Engineer, to join their team to assemble commission and test their CWAO industrial effluents plant. The role also involves the commissioning and installation of the effluent treatment plant.

The role will involve high-pressure pipe work fitting – titanium and steel (and design of isometrics prior to construction)
assembly and fitting of titanium reactors and other vessels
pressure testing
instrumentation fitting and commissioning electrical installation experience is also useful but not essential. developing technical plans based on research ideas
Presenting design plans to Managers and clients
Producing technical documents that the company requires
Conducting product testing and commissioning
Overseeing quality control programmes and overall maintenance in a facility
Developing CAD project drawings and reviewing drawings from junior team members for accuracy

The person will also be asked to assist in concurrent pilot-plant operations and analytical work.

We would expect a rate of about £30 hour. The normal working hours would be 7.5 hours/day, weekdays only, but there will be two continuous 20-day periods when 10-12 hours/day (evening or overnight) will be required.

After the initial period, we may wish to extend the contract for further commissioning work in Sweden and Devon,
