Job Description
We are currently recruiting Mechanical Engineer to join the busy office in Milton Keynes, UK.

We welcome applications from candidates with some initial experience in a mechanical engineering design company or other industrial settings and who have a background in utilising 2D CAD software [AutoCAD and/or MicroStation].

Key job activities will include:

•          Work under explicit direction from Mechanical Engineering Team members
•          Read and understand mechanical design drawings
•          Develop basic understanding of project scope of work
•          Develop understanding of corporate policies and standards
•          Gather supporting documents and information as needed to support mechanical engineering design/deliverable activities
•          Develop basic understanding of the mechanical design scope of work
•          Develop basic understanding of vendor drawings
•          Develop basic understanding of discipline drawings
•          Develop basic understanding of other discipline roles and responsibilities (e.g., Structural, Civil, Electrical,
•          Controls, and Piping)
•          Develop knowledge of relevant codes and standards applicable to project and equipment requirements (e.g.,
•          ASME, ANSI, and OSHA regulations) in execution of design as applicable
•          Utilize 2D CAD software – AutoCAD and MicroStation
•          Produce Mechanical Designs using approved software and tools.
•          Produce Mechanical Drawings using approved software and tools.
•          Adhere to defined CAD implementation procedures

Typical background and experience required:

•          2+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering design company or other industrial settings.
•          HNC or Degree in a relevant engineering subject.
•          Experience in using 2D CAD software – AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
