An assignment is available for a Mechanical Design Engineer that will be based in Milton Keynes supporting FEED and EPC projects related to the Oil & Gas Industry.
This role will be subject to a status determination statement (SDS) review to determine whether it is inside or outside of IR35.
Job Purpose
Mechanical Design Engineer Services supporting major upstream, refinery or petrochemical projects located in both domestic and international markets.
Your Responsibilities
Execution of project work; preparing specifications, sketches and drawings ensuring that it conforms to applicable codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
Completes work assignments independently or with minimal supervision/guidance.
Compliance and conformance to regulatory and project standards, codes, contract requirements.
Technical quality
Skills and Experience
You Must have:
Typically, has at least a HNC in mechanical design/engineering with experience in a design engineering and plant design work environment.
Mechanical design experience of deliverables for both FEED/EPC projects.
Knowledge of the key types of mechanical equipment.
Knowledge of UK & International Mechanical codes & standards.
Effective communication skills include being tactful and articulate
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experienced in design tools such as Microstation & Autocad in production of 2D drawings.
Nice to have:
Membership of appropriate engineering institution.
Experienced in production of 3D models
Site Experience.
