Job Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Length: 5month

We're currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on an inital 5month contract (potential 12month extension). The Mechanical Design Engineer will be working on a next generation battery pack with new architecture and higher volume.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering design concepts as part of a moulding systems group.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will have he following experience:
* Delivering design of components within a moulding systems group for battery applications
* Previous experience working with plastic injection moulding, casting or fabrication design
* Ensure re-bust design and subsystems component compatibility
* Responsible for the specification, design and drawings of mechanical components

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will have the following skillset:
* Creo CAD modelling experience
* Experience with plastic injection moulding / casting / fabrication design
* Understanding of typical BEV and PHEV battery system solution
* Experience in the selection of mechanical components and understanding of fundamental mechanical design i.e. DFA, DFM
