Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm: with a 40-minute lunch break

Salary: £20,000 to £25,000 DOE

Are an experienced Mechanical Assembler looking for a new job working regular shifts with no weekend work?

My client is looking for someone who enjoys working on the shop floor and being part of a production team. This is a hands-on job where you will be building and assembling special equipment that is sold worldwide.

You will be using all the usual engineering hand tools and referring to schematic engineering drawings to build special products and help monitor, maintain, and repair the units.

Although there will be some small assembly work which requires excellent dexterity, you must also have worked with heavy equipment such as generators.

Ideally you will hold a minimum qualification equivalent to a BTEC Level 2 diploma in Mechanical Engineering/NVQ Level 3 or be qualified by experience.

The ability to have good hand and eye co-ordination is essential along with the physical strength to deal with the heavy equipment. (You must be able to lift up to 25kg)
