Manufacturing / Production Technician – Assembly

OTE £24,273.60 – £35,000 per year

Guaranteed basic starting salary £24,273.60 per annum.

Permanent role, ongoing progression encouraged with associated skill structure pay increases, regular overtime at enhanced rates, plus additional standard monthly bonuses paid each month.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for further Manufacturing / Production Technicians (Assembly) to join one of the world leading manufacturers of mobile elevated work platforms based at our state of the art manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes. The Production/Manufacturing Technician Role requires dynamic team players with proven experience, skills and knowledge in mechanical assembly, as well as basic hydraulic and electrical fitting and installation. The role requires operating to high quality/workmanship standards within a work class manufacturing team and facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Efficient and correct to specification Mechanical assembly, hydraulic installation, electrical wiring and fitting operations, linked to the manufacture, service and repair of access platforms.

* Competent build inspection of all stages.

* Compliance with health and safety standards, flexibility, and development of skills through the complete manufacturing process, and the production/product cells.

* Maintain a high standard of 5’ s workplace organisation. Continuous improvement/elimination of waste, through ‘Lean Manufacturing techniques/tools’.

* Working as a team to achieve customer quality, delivery, cost and innovation requirements.

Working Hours & Salary:

Milton Keynes- Hours will be 08.00 – 16.30 Monday – Friday (with regular structured overtime).

Salary – Guaranteed basic starting salary £10.42 x 40 hours plus guaranteed minimum £50 per week bonus – £24,273.60

Structured skill levels with a basic of £10.42 – £12.78 per hour x 40 hours per week x 52 weeks.

Level A – Overtime paid at premium rate of £15.63 – £19.17 per hour (i.e. x 1.5).

Level B – Overtime paid at premium rate of £20.84 – £25.56 per hour (i.e. x 2.0).

Plus, additional monthly pay bonuses/incentives aligned to business performance that equate to up to payments of £375 to £450 per month on average (for reference only).

Remuneration:

* Profit related bonus (for indication only) based on recent average £500 per annum.

* 25 days holiday (increases with service, up to 30 days), plus bank holidays.
