Manual/ XYZ Turner
Exciting New permanent position for an Manual / XYZ Turner.

Main responsibilities

* To be fully conversant with programming, setting and operating XYZ centre lathes

* Knowledge of XYZ Pro-track control is desirable but not essential

* Have the ability to manufacture one-off’s and small batch precision components from a variety of engineering materials

* To produce components within a cost-effective time-frame

* The ability to read and understand engineering technical drawings

* Conversant with all necessary measuring equipment

* Able to work under own initiative and capable of working with limited supervision

* Keeping records

* The ability to read engineering drawings

* The ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances

* Taking measurement and detecting malfunctions

* Maintaining equipment

* Self-inspection

* Overtime available when production allows

* Have the ability to communicate with people at all levels and work pro-actively as part of a team

* Be responsible for working in a clean and tidy manner adhering to Health & Safety requirements

* Required to work within a detailed ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)

* Carry out any other ad hoc duties as required

* Take part in training provided
