Maintenance Engineer

Joining a company who pride themselves on being at the forefront of technology. You will work within the Site Maintenance team, you will provide maintenance, repairs and improvement work to the production and test equipment on site and will assist in the development of next generation production processes. The company are working hard to a factory of the future status and have invested heavily. You will play a key role in keeping the manufacturing environment running efficiently and will be working closely with other departments to make significant improvements.

Based at the companies state-of-the-art manufacturing site, you will get involved in the hands on preventative and reactive maintenance whilst working closely alongside a planner to ensure that there is as little reactive work as possible.

For this role you will need to have a strong background in a maintenance role within a manufacturing/automation environment and will ideally have experience with PLC programming. You will need to demonstrate that you can manage your own workload as well as others and have an interest in handling budgets and planning.

You will ideally be multi skilled with knowledge of both electrical and mechanical principles and experience working in a production support type role.

Responsibilities may include.

Carry out routine planned maintenance of selected plant & equipment to a pre-defined schedule.
Ensure all routine servicing is carried out with minimal impact on productivity.
Carry out or facilitate repairs to any plant or equipment that has failed.
Order spare parts as & when requested.
Carry out any other routine tasks to support the maintenance & support functions.
Requirements.

Mechanical and Electrical knowledge and experience
HNC/ City & Guilds or similar technical qualification
Experience in a maintenance or production support position working on Production machinery, production lines and facility plant
Experience working on hydraulic systems
