This is an exciting opportunity to join a clean technology company focussed on the chemical recycling of mixed plastic waste. My client is helping to build the circular economy for plastics by sustainably and economically diverting plastic waste from landfill and incineration. The technology converts non-recyclable plastic waste into valuable petrochemical resources to produce new plastic products.
Our client is about to finalise development of, and build, our first commercial-scale plant that will process 27,000 tonnes of plastic waste per annum, located in the Netherlands.
The R&D facility in Buckinghamshire has provided the valuable data for the development of this plant and is where the Apprentice/Junior Maintenance Engineer will be working to aid in the everyday maintenance and operation of the pilot plant.
The Apprentice/Junior Maintenance Engineer will be required to do the following;
Work as part of a small team responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance of the pilot plant.
Assisting the engineers on servicing and maintenance of the equipment
Assist in the operations of the plant.
Be very hands on working on different equipment and machinery
Cleaning of mechanical equipment, including oily and charred surfaces.The Apprentice/Junior Maintenance Engineer is required to have the following;
HND/NVQ/HNC in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Maintenance)
Mechanical knowledge or Electrical knowledge advantageous
Previous maintenance experience would be beneficial but not essential
Willingness to take instructions and develop
