The Company;

Our client is an award winning packaging company that have been producing high quality control packaging systems for over 20 years, who due to rapid growth are now seeking to appoint a Logistics Co-ordinator.

The role;

As a Logistics Co-ordinator you will mainly be responsible for facilitating delivery, (or receipt), of orders and samples in a timely and efficient manner

Main responsibilities;

Where required, selection, booking and liaison with freight forwarding agents, (or with hauliers), in respect of transport arrangements for despatch of orders
Preparation and submission of shipper's documentation required for Customs and Excise clearances through appointed agents
Retention of documents as necessary under statutory requirements.
Researching and advising of delivery costs when requested by inter-departmental representatives
Planning of load configurations to maximise transport unit capacity whilst maintaining consignment integrity and safetyExperience required;

Product knowledge
Transport node options and operations
Customs and Excise requirements
Assimilation of new products
Incoterms
Future proofing of Logistics operations
