My client is an industry leader of automated solutions. They are part of a large group of companies specialised in highly innovative industrial and packaging solutions. They are currently working in over 25 countries and have over 5,000 employees worldwide

Duties and responsibilities as a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer:

* Maintain and develop customer relationships through the project.

* Be responsible for mechanical design and functionality, realised and delivered according to schedule and cost

* Have close collaboration with Controls Engineers to reach the required performance

* Support and validate conceptual mechanical design in quotation and pre-study phase,

* Realise new design and customise existing proven solutions in projects

* Work closely with different areas and divisions

Skills and experience required

* Qualified mechanical design and realisation of machines and robotic solutions for industry automation, conveyors, material handling solutions, packaging and similar custom-made devices and prototypes.

* Fluent with CAD tools (AutoCAD and Inventor or similar)

* A good understanding of automation, the motorisation (electrical, pneumatic, robotics) and the controls needed to make it run.
