Key Account Manager – Solar Inverter
Remote Position – Must be based in England
£55,000 to £60,000 DOE, plus excellent perks and bonus

Astute are proud to be working exclusively with a leading business in the Solar sector to recruit a Key Account Manager. Our client is the market leader in their field, manufacturing and supplying their inverter technology to the sector and we're looking for a Key Account Manager to provide ongoing client support and advice whilst keeping an eye our for other revenue opportunities in the market
This can be a fully remote position, with the company's HQ in Milton Keynes. You must be flexible to be able to get to the office on the odd occasion, but this can genuinely be a remote position.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, as a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for:
Responsible for management of key accounts and fostering long lasting relationships
Responsible for the sales of the entire company product range with a primary focus on inverters for grid-connected solar and storage systems (i.e. power plant solutions such as their storage inverters)
Monitoring, coordinating and facilitating activities worldwide for strategically important customers, taking into account various business models (EPCs, installers, Distribution Partners, aftersales) in close partnership with the relevant internal specialist departments
Developing and implementing sales strategies at key account level.
Working closely with other specialist departments (e.g. product management/service/TSS) to respond to customer queries and tenders. Building 'bid teams' through cooperation with other departments and sales teams
Developing customer business plans and implementing them
Implementing tactical and strategic measures to increase sales
Developing account-specific communication strategies.
Attending trade shows, trade partner conferences, congresses and forums. Conducting quarterly and annual meetings with key customers
Implementing sales campaigns (e.g. in-house trade shows, training seminars, technical advice sessions) and product-related on-site training workshops
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Bachelors degree or similar in a related field, such as Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Business Management, Digital Sales etc
Experience with utility scale solar or storage projects
Genuine solar industry knowledge and some form of relevant network would be very advantageous
An excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications
Fluency in English language (written and oral) is a must, German/French/Dutch is a plus
Willing to frequently travel within UK, and more occasionally in West European countries
Key Account Management and strategic selling experience is ideal
