If you are an enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer looking to join a small friendly and professional Engineering team in the Milton Keynes area where you can develop your career then this role is for you! 

This varied role will see you involved in a full product life-cycle and will provide bespoke product solutions to real customer requirements, identifying product amendments to meet the brief and compile information to present an accurate product solution and cost. 

The Junior Project Development Engineer role in detail: 

– Learn the full product range in detail.
– Co-ordinate customer enquiries day to day. 
– Refine customer design briefs with information from a company sales representative. 
– Obtain quotations for off the shelf or new components to complete bespoke orders. 
– Generation of BOM's to start manufacture of bespoke orders. 
– Creation of component and assembly drawings utilising 2D and 3D CAD systems. 
– Validate customer specifications are achieved with the support of on site Laboratory and testing department. 

The Successful Junior Project Development Engineer Candidate: 

– Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow processes effectively
– 2D and 3D CAD (ideally Solidworks) experience is essential with an understanding of Engineering Fundamentals
– Degree or equivalent qualification (full apprenticeship + Exp) within a Mechanical Engineering or Product design topic. 
– Understand compiling BOM's and Sheet-metal fabrication fundamentals. 
– Faultless communication skills in all formats.
