Swarco Traffic are a leading supplier of smart, active signage solutions and the latest parking and traffic signal equipment in use across the UK and Europe. We require are look for a Junior Linux Software Developer to join our team.
You will play a key role in the ongoing development of our software products, help maintain the highest quality and security standards, design new services and enhance existing ones and generally get to work on cutting edge systems development for the future of our urban environments.
Key Tasks:
* Implement, document and test software solutions using C, C++ and JavaScript.
* Design new applications and enhance existing ones.
* Perform Design-, Code- and Peer-Reviews of your colleagues.
* Daily work in an agile environment, develop and optimize processes and best practices.
* Interpret customer requirements specifications generating functional requirements documentation for software development.
* Maintain software development to company quality standards while helping to attain the highest security standards for our systems.
* Looking at improvements to the development process to maintain the leading-edge software development tools and techniques are used for continuous improvement.
The successful Software Development Engineer will have skills and experience in the following:
* The development of embedded Iinux based software
* Experience of developing in C, C++ and Javascript
* Angular modules and libraries
* Implement, document and test software solutions
* Ideally degree qualified in BSc Comp Sci or similar, or higher
* Ability to work multi-nationally, drawing on expertise across Europe
* Professional communication skills
