This high-end security integrator is looking for an enthusiastic and technically skilled in-house IT Support Engineer to join their team.

As our IT Support Engineer, you will help to maintain the IT infrastructure within our modern office and across the whole company with multiple offices throughout the UK and Ireland. As well as offering complete IT troubleshooting over the phone and in person, you would be expected to help prepare IT equipment for other employees, support the engineers on IT related issues and work with the company's Technical Director to ensure that the best technologies are implemented throughout the business.

You will also be involved in building and maintaining IT equipment for the use at client sites in conjunction with their electronic security requirements.

Responsibilities

Maintenance of the IT systems, including networks, virtual environments, servers and security equipment across the whole group
Troubleshooting / problem solving issues as they arise
Building of new machines in line with company and employee needs
Assisting new starters with all their IT and networking needs
Building new IT processes and researching new technologies to be implemented within the business
Offering 1-3rd line technical support for the office and engineering staff regarding any networking and IT issues
Required

Good IT technical capacity with experience of Microsoft Applications
Solid understanding of networking principles and some experience of set-up and maintenance of networks, including routers and switches (CCNA beneficial)
