My client, a leading Engineering company based in Buckingham are looking to recruit an Industrial Coating Specialist / Paint Sprayer on a full time, permanent basis. The role has come about due to increased growth and a full order book. The role will be starting in April 2022.
The essential functions of an Industrial coating specialist includes applying coatings using various systems or tools, operating appropriate equipment, preparing surfaces for application, mixing paints / coatings, spraying, and interpreting blueprints or drawings. The role requires the ability to work safely in an engineering environment as a valued team member.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare carbon or stainless-steel structures in accordance with Oil & Gas Industry Standards.
* Conducting both surface treatment and coating activities in our controlled blast and spray booths.
* Activities including masking and stencilling.
* To assist with the setup and maintenance of coating equipment.
* Following COSHH requirements due to materials used.
* Conduct work safely and efficiently, as directed by Supervisor/Team leader.
* Ensure all equipment used is done so to company and/or manufacturers standards.
* Complete internal paperwork & documentation with accuracy.
* Report any accidents, near misses, health and safety or environmental issues to Supervisor/Team leader immediately.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
The Person:
Experience & Knowledge:
* Proven experience of industrial painting is essential
* A good understanding of the Airless Coating process.
* FLT license (if not this will be organised)
* Train the Painter or icats certification an advantage.
* Ability to understand customer requirements.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Conduct quality checks / excellent attention to detail.
* Clean current driving license an advantage.
* The ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
* Ability to work unsupervised – self-motivated.
* Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach.
* A self-motivated, proactive individual.
* Forward thinking. / Problem solver.
* Ability to adopt change and a flexible working approach.
* Open-minded and willing to constructively challenge things.
* Promote and maintain a safe working environment, report any accidents, near misses or safety concerns.
Desirable:
* Oil and Gas Industry experience.
* Experience of working in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
* Level 1 or 2 NACE or ICORR qualified.
An attractive hourly rate of between £16-19 per hour is offered dependent on experience. Hours of work are 07.30 – 16.30 Monday to Thursday and 07.30 – 13.30 on Fridays covering a 40 hour week.
