I am looking for a Geotechnical Engineer with a great amount of experience managing a variation of site investigations looking for that next step into consultancy. You will have the chance to work within a multi-disciplinary environment, managing projects from inception through to completion working with internal structural engineers to assess, recommend, calculate and design foundations as well as assess contaminated datasets for remedial methods.

Initially as a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be required to design, organise and manage ground investigations as well as writing up interpretive reports. This role offers full training and development on the more advance geotechnical aspects including foundation inspection/recommendations, calculations as well as preliminary and detailed design.

This role will also give you the opportunity to deliver reports on a Geo-Environmental basis including all interpretation, remedial method statements, risk assessments and validation.

Currently as a Geotechnical Engineer, you must be able to manage a range of site investigation techniques and drill rigs. It will be beneficial to have exerience within phase 1 and phase 2 reporting although not essential as on the job training is included.

The ideal Geotechnical Engineer candidate will have:

Degree in a relevant degree in civil engineering or Geology whilst obtaining a MSc in soil mechanics or engineering geology.
Proven track record (2 years) managing a range of ground investigations using various techniques.
Exposure to Phase 1 desk studies
Good fundamental knowledge and understanding of geotechnical engineering and/or Geo-Environmental engineering
