My clients in-house design team is now looking to add a Geotechnical Engineer at their head office near Milton Keynes.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

-Provide geotechnical expertise to all bidding divisions during pre-construction, as well as on-site teams during construction and the temporary works design team as required.

-Identify geotechnical risks and protect the business from geotechnical problems that might affect construction cost and or programme.

-Attend and contribute to key tender meetings such as “ground down” reviews and action outcomes in line with the timescales agreed with the bid team.

-Be aware of and advise colleagues of geotechnical considerations, innovation and the potential for alternative solutions.

-Assist in winning tenders by finding cost and time saving geotechnical solutions.

-Interrogate geotechnical data and review designs. Request and obtain further geotechnical information if required.

-Undertake design of alternative solutions as required.

-Request and obtain further geotechnical information if required.

-Select, work with and manage geotechnical suppliers and sub-contractors as required.

-Arrange, manage and supervise supplementary geotechnical investigations as required.

-Prepare feedback and reports as required.

Experience required:

-MENG/MSC Geotechnical Engineer

-2+ Years in a geotechnical design or site investiongation role
