Tell me more about the role…
You will be primarily responsible for servicing customers own diesel generators ranging from 30kva – 1800kva.
Working from home, you'll report to the Team Leader and will be tasked with the following:
– Fault finding diesel engine fuel systems and ancillary equipment
– Load bank testing equipment
– Fault finding of 12/24volt and 240/415volt electrical systems
The standard working hours for this role are 40 hours per/week, Monday to Friday.

What experience do I need?
My client wants someone who's got a background in maintaining diesel generator sets from 30kva to 1800kva.
They'll also need you to have experience of:
– • generator controls and fault finding of 12/24volt and 240/415volt electrical systems
– • fault finding diesel engine fuel systems and ancillary equipment
– Working with portable load bank testing equipment
– In completing service inspections and identifying potential defects that could result in equipment failure
In addition, you'll need good interpersonal & communicating skills, flexible approach to work/clients’ requirements and a full UK drivers licence, and you will need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

What can I earn?
This Generator Service Engineer position offers a basic salary between £28,000 – £40,000 per annum.
There are further payments you'll receive as a result of your on-call work which will amount to £1,000 per annum, and you have the ability to earn overtime in the role.
In addition you'll get other benefits which include the following:
