Field / Workshop Technician
Location: This is predominantly a regional role covering Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. However you will be expected to visit our workshop in Northampton (NN4).
Salary: Competitive, DOE.
Contract: Full time, permanent.

The role
As a Field & Workshop Technician, you will be passionate about our brand and be excited by the opportunity to deliver a premium luxury after-care experience to our customers.
Our internal network of Field Service Technicians has grown year on year, across the UK. We pride ourselves on delivering an industry-leading first-time-fix in our customers' homes, when they experience challenges with our products.
To be able to provide high levels of technical service we rely on a dedicated team of Field Based Technicians across the UK. This role will also provide critical repair and refurbishment product support in our brand-new workshop based at our new, modern and eco UK HQ in Northampton.
You will be responsible for:
Field Service
• Working efficiently and professionally to complete daily customer appointments
• Professionally evaluating products to determine the most appropriate course of repair
• Repair and fully test the operation of the product ensuring a quality repair
• Electronically complete all tasks and administration duties relating to service work in real time, ensure accuracy and detailed on receipting of parts, closing jobs and Sales Force Lightning process
• Maintain excellent standard of housekeeping with receipting, consuming and retuning spare parts with accuracy
• Maintain and manage stock of spare parts inventory to ensure the business proactively delivers a "first-time fix"
Workshop:
• Grade all returned appliances to the warehouse in a timely manner
• Working with UK Service Manager to support and coordinate reworks
• Carry out full functional and Electrical tests on reworked appliances
• Provide Technical advice and support for Tech Assist role

• To be successful in this role you need to have a genuine interest and passion for domestic appliances, with proven experience to match.
• You will need to have an optimistic attitude, high standards and relish the challenge to convert product issues into a positive customer-centred experience.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, you will be a methodical "fixer of things", with a desire to fix things right first time.
• You will be flexible to the changeable nature of the role each day, adaptable and keep a calm and focussed outlook during peak periods.
• Gas Safe would be a distinct advantage but not essential. Good understanding of Health & Safety practices, safe manual handling and physically fit to handle domestic appliances (bending, lifting, rotating etc) and driving for throughout the day time.
This role is for a real technical professional, connecting with colleagues who are remote and being the face of our brand in customers' homes.
