Field Service Engineer – Solar PV

Astute Technical Recruitment have been selected to source an experienced Field Service Engineer with Solar PV experience to join a market-leading company in their sector. Our client is a global specialist in Solar PV / Photovoltaic System Technology and have been for many years. The company are best known for their ground-breaking inverter technology so we require a Solar PV Engineer with excellent experience with inverters to join the team as a Field Service Engineer.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Head of Service, as a Solar PV Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Carrying our inspection, service, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of equipment and systems throughout the UK
* Commissioning, inspecting and repairing PV systems installed by leading EPCs
* Troubleshooting and repairing string and central inverters
* Assisting in the construction and installation of solar plant when required
* Some answering of incoming calls and process these queries and error messages sent to the service line
* Handling of Service Logistics and spare parts for changing out the individual inverter components and organise related logistics
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Electrical Engineering qualification equivalent to at least 17th edition IET Wiring Regs.
* Previous experience in Solar PV sector, particularly with ground-mount solutions, is essential
* High voltage experience is desirable
* A clean UK driving licence
* Able to travel both nationally and internationally
