Field Service Engineer (Mechanical/ PLC)

£40,000 – £50,000p/a + Home based + Travel expenses + Company benefits

Are you a Field Service Engineer with a Mechanical and PLC Fault Finding background looking for a varied role where you can work alongside the Director and have a direct impact in the success of the business by progressing as the Lead Service Engineer?

In this role you will be provided with plenty of training on specialist machinery, you will need an understanding of PLC Fault Finding and ladder logic so you can upload program for installation and service work.

The company have been established since the 1950s and have undergone much change in its history ensuring they remain competitive and continue to focus on its core skills. This is a unique opportunity to become a specialist on rebar bending machinery on some of the UKs largest infrastructure and construction projects.

In this role you will provide technical support and service and installation of machinery across the UK, your time will be mechanical fitting, 15% of your time on electrical work and 40% of your time faulting finding (PLC ladder logic).

This is the opportunity for a Field Service or Installation Engineer looking for a varied role where you will have the opportunity to work across the UK and be the technical leader helping to directly influence the success of the business.

The role:

* Field Service and Installation Engineer
* Carry out installation, fault finding and maintenance contracts on rebar bending machinery
* UK wide travel with up to 2 or 3 nights spent away from home

The person:

* Field Service/ Installation Engineer
* Experience with mechanical, electrical and PLC fault finding (ladder logic)
* Full UK driving licence – happy to travel across the UK
