Our client a global Engineering and telecoms company is seeking a mobile shift-based Engineer to work on planned maintenance and reactive breakdown repair of Production equipment scanners and high spec printers.

Duties also include;

* Assistance in installation and commissioning of new equipment

* Fault finding and root cause analysis

* Ensuring adherence to manufacturer's specifications and other regulatory bodies

Skills

* Formal Electrical/Mechanical qualification.

* Experience carrying out fault finding on electrical circuits (inc. single phase HV kit)

* Mechanical maintenance experience essential (motors, gears, encoders, bearings, clutches, etc.)

* In-depth control systems knowledge and understanding highly desirable

* Previous experience of PLCs advantageous

* Experience in Datcard products (Media importers & scanners) and printer equipment would prove very useful

You will be required to work on rotating early – late shifts. The site operates on a 2-shift Monday to Friday basis. Weekend flexibility (rotating Saturday morning shift). A requirement to work night shift (when required) will also form part of the role.

After the initial period this will become a field service role based out of Milton Keynes
