Field Service Engineer – Aerospace
Up to £39k + benefits
Travel to Europen countries and other global locations
A world leading, exceptional organisation specialising in the design and manufacture within the Aerospace/defence industry are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join their amazing team to work on their niche equipment!
They are seeking a multi-skilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical repair, fault finding and maintenance expertise, who has an extensive background working on aircrafts. (Ex-military engineers are extremely desirable!)
Job Information:
+ This is sited based in Buckinghamshire area with travel to Europe and other global countries such as Israel and Japan – MUST be flexible to travel as this will be 2-14 days at one time around 10 weeks of the year.
+ Mileage will be reimbursed, there will also be use of pool cars should you be travelling to customer sites in the UK, overtime will be paid and other allowances. They will cover travel and subsistence costs and will re-imburse business expenses if personal credit card is used, where necessary a company credit may be issued.
Key accountabilities – Field Service Engineer – Aerospace/Defence:
+ Attend customer facilities to carry out trial installation on development projects and feedback findings.
+ Visit customer's facilities to undertake installations, retrofit programmes, modifications and maintenance of products.
+ Convert seats based on specifications and be part of the installation team specifying changes and procedures for bespoke installations and modifications
+ Deliver training to end-users on installation and initial preparation and immediate main activities and certify them to these standards.
+ Complete warranty repairs / corrective action of products
+ Manage and control parts and tools required to fulfil the role of Field Service Engineer.
+ Complete visit reports for visits, servicing, installation etc.
+ Assist in the preparation for testing
+ Prepare products for business development air shows and mock installations.
+ Validation and verification of technical data (manuals, mod leaflets, drawings etc)
Experience required – Field Service Engineer – Aerospace/Defence:
+ Electrical and mechanical engineering background within the Aero/Defence sector (Ex-military or similar)
+ Qualification in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Good communication both written and verbal
