Field Service Engineer. Our multi-billion Euro client are a supplier of products, solutions and services for industrial process measurement and automation. Due their continued success, they are looking for a Field Service Engineer to cover the South East.

The role requires servicing, commissioning and fault diagnostics/repair of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation.

Field Service Engineer – main responsibilities

* To commission, calibrate and repair on-site instrumentation

* To work in all industries within the Company customer database

* To liaise with the Service Coordinators to ensure that all spares, tools and paperwork is available to enable them to carry out their duties

* To liaise with customers when required prior to executing the job to ensure full understanding of the nature of the job and also to advise estimated time of arrival and of any delays which may be anticipated

* To adhere to site safety rules, permit to work systems and carry out risk assessments

* To work to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and the Company quality management system

* To man the 24-hour technical helpline according to the rosta set by the Service Coordinator.

Field Service Engineers – requirements:

* Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level, preferably in Electronics or Instrumentation of control

* Recognised apprenticeship in the above disciplines is ideal or a minimum of 2 years' Process Control experience

* A flexible approach to working activities
