Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 + benefits

Introduction:
Are you an ex-military Engineer or Technician with an electrical background and looking for a new challenge? Do you want to work for a company where there is a lot of variety and every working day is different? Our client based now has an immediate requirement for a Field Service Engineer to join their existing team. You will be based from home, ideally around the Milton Keynes, Oxford or Basingstoke area. This role will suit an electrical or instrumentation background and someone who is flexible with regards to travel around the Southern region with occasional overnight stays.

£30,000 – £32,000 ANNUAL SALARY, COMPANY VAN, MOBILE, LAPTOP, MONDAY TO FRIDAY 8.30AM – 5PM, EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTORY PENSION, BONUS SCHEME, 25 DAYS HOLIDAY PER YEAR

Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:
– You will be responsible for servicing a range of mainly fixed and some portable gas detection systems.
– Prepare for service visits ensuring that all tools / equipment and any spare parts needed are available.
– Completing the relevant paperwork to record all work undertaken.
– Communicating with the Service Coordinator on all scheduled works.
– Liaise with the customer to ensure that they are happy with the work and answer any queries on the equipment.
– Travel around the Southern region visiting a variety of customers.
– Liaise with customers to ensure the work is conforming to their health, safety and quality standards.
– You will also be required to get involved with projects and surveys.

Field Service Engineer Applicant Requirements:
– The successful candidate must have a strong electrical engineering background and hold an NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent.
– Experience of calibrating equipment.
– Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
– Flexible with regards to travel around the Southern region.
– Full UK Driving Licence.

Field Service Engineer Benefits:
– £30,000 – £32,000 annual salary.
– Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm.
– 25 days holiday per year.
