Field Service Engineer
Location – Milton Keynes
We currently have a superb opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join one of our clients who are a leading provider of services to the CHP, Combined Heat and Power, Power Generation and District Heating sector.
Job Role:
Our client supply heat and power to a large number of commercial and private customers and you'll be responsible for service / engineering works throughout the Milton Keynes area and across planned maintenance, repair, replacement and operation of electrical and mechanical plant.
This will involve working throughout the energy station, distribution networks, substations and various equipment located in customer premises.
Reactive maintenance, identifying and rectifying generator faults, restoring electrical supplies, repairing pipe work, valves and pumps.
Diagnosing and rectifying domestic heating system faults, replacing central heating pumps, control valves, thermostats.
Making daily system checks and completing logs, identifying anomalies and adjusting system operational parameters through SCADA based control systems. Key Skills Required:
You'll need to have an engineering background of some form, ideally with an electrical bias and also good mechanical knowledge / skills therefore multi-skilled experience is desired.
Good experience with fault finding, testing, maintenance and repair of electrical distribution and control systems.
Ideally you'll have working knowledge of industrial plant including generators, pumps, motors, electrical control gear.
Ideally you'll hold electrical qualifications. Salary & Package on offer:
£24k-£35k (depending on experience) + Benefits + Pension + Annual Leave + Training & Development.
