Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) to cover the whole of the UK (no over-night stays required).

Due to continuous growth a well-established agricultural plant is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer.

As a Field Service Engineer you will carry out maintenance on various types of equipment used within the construction industry.

To be considered you’ll need a qualification in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline and some experience in a similar role (such as forklift or HGV repair).

You must be able to demonstrate your ability to carry out instructions accurately and methodically and enjoy solving problems, together with being able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical components.

You'll be a good communicator who can work on your own initiative and in a small team.

– inspecting and testing plant, completing maintenance (engine tune-ups, oil changes, tyre rotation and changes, wheel balancing, repairing filters)

– conduting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replacing parts and components, repairing body damage

– recording service and repairs

– troubleshooting breakdowns

– keeping supplies ready by inventorying stock in van, placing orders, verifying receipt

Provided with a sprinter van to attend site call-outs across the UK.

Working Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:30 (42.5 hours per week), overtime paid, 30 days holiday.
