Field Service Engineer

Title Field Service engineer

Location Home base with travel UK wide

Salary Basic £34K – £39K + Overtime

Door to door pay

Overtime at inflated rates

Average earnings approx £40K-£50K

Type Staff

Package Company car, mobile phone, laptop, health care, pension, training.

Hours 40 hours per week + Overtime

Monday – Friday. Days

Due to continued growth our client is looking to hire an additional field service engineer to their experienced engineering team.

The company provide bespoke packaging and food processing equipment to well-known manufactures and smaller small to medium enterprises. The ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled engineer with a maintenance background working on fast moving electro-mechanical food processing and packaging equipment.

The Job

* Responding to machinery breakdowns

* Pre-planned maintenance

* Installations from single pieces of machinery to large full line installations

* Solo working and working in teams

* Training customers

* Technical support

* Working with motors, drives, valves, PLC’s, electrical systems, sensors, conveyors, labellers, cappers, tray sealers, slicers, etc.

The person

* Must have hands-on experience repairing and maintaining manufacturing and FMCG equipment

* Ideal candidates will have experience in at least one of the following sectors FMCG, food & beverage, plastics, packaging

* Happy to travel and stay away from home when required – all expenses covered.

* Maintenance and repair background

* Field or mobile experience – Not essential
