I am working with a fantastic client who design and manufacture electrical systems/equipment (checkweighers and scales) worldwide and supply ino a diverse range of industries e.g. Food, beverage, Fresh produce, Pharmaseutical.
Due to a recent internal promotion, they are seeking for an Electrical bias field service engineer based in the Milton Keynes/Northampton or Oxfordshire area to cover the Midlands/South region.
This role would suit an experienced service engineer looking for a different challenge or a maintenance engineer who is looking to get into a field service engineer who would like to work on different equipment. This would also suit someone coming from a RAF, Navy, Avionics background.
The Role:
The service engineer will be responisble for the following
* Service, miantenance and repair electronic systems
* Calibrating and Installation of checkweighers and labellers
* Electrical and Mechanical Fault Finding
* Repairing Machine Breakdowns
* Providing technical support to customers
* Reporting directly to the Service Manager
* Help Support Customers with Technical Issues
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant electrical/electronic engineering qualification or Equivalent (essential)
* Will have a keen interest in both mechanical hardware and software systems (essential)
* Able to work flexible hours that involves some international travel
* Will have high standards in the pursuit of customer satisfaction and product quality
* Comfortable working to deadlines in a timely and efficient manner
* Have excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues
* A confident self-starter able to work independently or as part of a team
* Will have a full driving licence and current passport (essential)

Travel
The role is to cover Midlands to Southern Region of the UK but this role can take the candidate across the UK, and abroad. There will be travel and the successful applicant will be expected to stay away from home on occasion (40% during the year) Trips abroad and to other UK regions, while infrequent, will require staying away for up to 2 weeks. However, the majority of work undertaken within this role will be local to the region covered and any overnight stays will be limited
