Project Manager (Engineering)

A good team spirit is fostered with virtual Monday morning meetings as well as company monthly meetings. In a normal working week you will spend 50% of time at client's sites which could be in Slough, Stevenage and West Yorkshire. The rest of the time will either be at home or in the office in Bucks which has good transport links.
ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS & MINDSET REQUIRED:
Engineering degree in one of the following: Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical/Controls & Automation, or engineering HND* 8 years or more senior engineering experience in a manufacturing environment * Senior experience as a Project Manager * Know how to ensure manufacturing projects and construction environments are safe * Clear, precise spoken and written communication (this will be tested at interview). * Able to think conceptually (this will be tested at interview)
The Engineering Project Manager will be able to manage a number of stakeholders simultaneously * Calm in a crisis, diplomatic, discreet, maintains strict client confidentiality PREFERRED
Chartered Engineer * Multi skilled mechanical & electrical * Significant food, pharma or healthcare manufacturing experience * Qualification from the Association of Project Managers or Prince2
Experience of CDM site management
THE IDEAL ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER
Will be someone who is curious, has practical skills and enjoys tinkering and mending machines, whether that be a car, boat, bike etc.
Someone who is active and takes part in or watches sport (especially motorsport!)
It is important that you know when to ask for advice if unsure and are happy to help new engineers develop as well as developing yourself.
You will be comfortable presenting to stakeholders.
You will plan your own day to enable you to juggle the different priorities and be calm person.
Be able to plan your day and work autonomously yet, you will need to have the ability to prioritise
