Senior Field Technician – Solar Farm
Salary: up to £35,000 (DOE) + O/T + Company Van

Overview:
Verelogic is currently looking for a Senior Field Technician/ Engineer to work on behalf of one of our clients. The purpose of the role is to maintain our client’s solar farms, ensuring that they are operating at their highest level of proficiency.

*Full industry training will be provided for qualified and experienced electricians*

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of Electrical components, Inverters, Modules, CCTV Systems and Structures

* Provide electrical maintenance services for solar farms in a specified region.

* Travel to sites in your allocated region on a regular basis.

* Occasional travel to different regions to provide extra support if required.

* Deliver comprehensive reports co-ordinated with Company standards

* Relationship management with local subcontractors.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Qualified, time served Electrician; BS7671 and Level 3 Electrical NVQ or equivalent.

* Knowledge of understanding risk assessments, method statements, etc.

* HSE awareness.

* Open to using collective knowledge and guidance, however, can also work on own initiative.

* Excellent, report writing and IT skills.

* Excellent team player.

* Able to effectively under pressure and prioritise workload.

* Basic fault finding and diagnostics skills.

* Capable of on-site identification, analysis and repair of faults.

* Comfortable working out-doors in all conditions.

* Able to work within an international team.

* Excellent time-management and punctuality.

* Full, Clean Driving Licence.

Desirable but not essential:

* Previous Solar experience; operation and fault finding on inverters, HV, DC & AC.

* Industrial PV installation and Inverter maintenance experience.

* Testing and Inspection certification is ideal.

* HV Switching experience.

* Familiarity of network infrastructure e.g. routers / switches.

* Electrical qualifications such as C&G (18th Edition), would be advantageous.

* Working at heights is advantageous
