Electrical Field Service Engineer

Overview:

Are you an electrical professional who has hit a glass ceiling professionally? Work maybe a bit repetitive and working 50+ hour weeks? Your development stagnated? Maybe going from contract to contract with no stability? We have an opportunity with a UK and world leader in their field…

The way we work is perfect for a "work / life" balance. It is a "salaried role" and there are some potential options of overtime (not loads), but we want our engineers to work 40 hour a week and no more – we think it's important for you to be happy at home and in work! You can supplement your salary with our bonus scheme and how you perform…

We also expect the successful candidate to become a "lead engineer" before long, so real opportunity.

The person:

We are open to the person here – but we want a qualified electrical professional / electrician who wants a real career in a UK and world leading company. A candidate who wants to continue their development (COMPEX training, for example) and wants to work for a company where we feel work / life balance is essential – not to work every hour God sends.

This is for a person who wants a long term career in a recession proof sector, with a view of becoming a "Lead Engineer". We can look at people from any sectors, as long as you have sharp servicing, maintenance and installation skills (and we can train you the rest).

There is some work across the UK, so the odd night away may be part of the role – we'll look after you if that's the case though!

The role:

A hugely autonomous role where you can manage your own diary. Typically, you will be doing 1 or 2 jobs a day where you will be installing or servicing our various equipment.

As we have alluded to already, we are huge believers in work / life balance and long term careers. 40 hours a week is what you will work so not a crazy role with 50/60 hours a week and one where we will keep your development on going.

The role is across the UK and we will try and keep you as local as possible (we have a team for around 16 or so all over the UK), but need "flexibly" from a travel aspect. We also expect the successful candidate to become a "lead engineer" before long, so real opportunity.
